On that note - try Budvar Dark next time you're in the Czech Republic or  
the rest of Europe - your mouth will love you for the rest of your life!  
(Our local got hold of a barrel - it was sold out within the night!)

In terms of German Weißbier, my current favourite is Erdinger Dunkles and  
I've just discovered my local Asda is selling it for £1.68 a bottle (not  
quite the €1.50 I paid in Berlin, but one makes do with what one can get).

I love the German drinking culture - no licensing laws (beer with morning  
paper) and München's Brauhausen have to be drunk in to be believed (beer  
in litre glasses)! Just make sure that you ask for a große beer, otherwise  
you end up with a tiny quarter of a litre glass - compare and contrast.
