Why have I yet to see a direct quote from the HPD Chief in any of the  
regurgitation of the AP Newswire that seems to pass for journalism  
these days, or anything on the HPD web site relating to this?

Are we taking the word of the AP Newswire as gospel now? Their piece  
doesn't even contain an attributable quote.....
