Yeah, I know... I was just venting my spleen. I just really hate to see that kind of thing. How can people learn if they can't ask questions? Now if the comment had been along the lines of "Why are you asking this on Full Disclosure? This is for announcing security alerts. Perhaps another list would be appropriate, such as <name of list>" I really would have had no problem with this. But to attack someone because of their level of knowledge and then not even answering the question is just being a jerk (which email makes easy to do). I'm sure I'll keep this list (out of sheer intertia, if anything), because you're right. There are alerts and information that appear here from time to time before I see it anywhere else (including my iDefense feed and *that's* impressive). I would not want to miss out. Thanks for your email and taking the time. Phil On 9/8/06, H D Moore <hdm () metasploit com> wrote:
Subscribe for a couple years - the list is always full of bigots, porn, jerks, and general nastyness, but its also the fastest way to make new security information public. Most things that land on FD will take a day or two to go through moderation on Bugtraq. -HD
