Security begins in the mind. The days when IT was free of fakes of any kind 
was in the 1960ies, when it was still possible to know and understand one
hardware+software+organisation system. This is no longer the case nowadays,
the human has become part of the sytem and consequently humans became the 
target for virii, backdoors, social engineering, malinformation and 
motive-manipulation even in IT.

Up to now, there was one answer which brought objective arguments 
(my kudos to Paul Schmehl) and two answers which just opposed 
the posting on matters of taste or list-ettiquette.

Homographs have been discussed at length - seeking technical resolutions,
but those semantic homographs we all have to deal with are not worth 
discussion?

Why? Because we think, we are immune?

The human mind is easily exploitable, especially if there are fixed opinions,
fixed rules, fixed reaction-patterns. Such an exploition is most advantageous, 
if many targets share the same mindset (a parallel to the MS monoculture).
At the same time: the more people share the same mindset, the more they 
believe that they are "right".

Hence the best (gaining most) working exploits are those, who target the 
mainstream mindset and don't object it in any way. I.e. you start by telling 
the customer "you are right, right, uttermost right".

But learning happens not thru acclamation.
