Speaking of which...

No virus found in this outgoing message.
Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.8.9/39 - Release Date: 7/4/2005

That is certainly an improvement on the earlier:

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
Checked by AVG anti-virus system (yada, yada, yada...)

though to the naïve and gullible (such as those who leave this default
option enabled?), the effect is still the same -- "it's safe to do
whatever with anything in this message".

"Best practice" would be to turn that off, much as the AVG/Grisoft folk
want the advertising...
