Hi, When given following command from root directory of any drive (c:\, d:\, etc.,)it throws below given error. Command: c:\> write aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa no. of A's should be exactly 256 Error: --------------------------- Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library --------------------------- Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\WORDPAD.EXE abnormal program termination --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Dont know if its any security breach. I am yet a newbie in this field, so not able to analyze much. Tested platform: Windows 2000 Server SP:3 It would be great if you guys give me with some links to learn about discovering and exploiting vulnerability or about penetration testing of application/network. Thanks, Gaurang. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
