Does anyone know of a good windows based tool to brute force a serial console?? I have an "Extreme Networks" "Black Diamond" switch. Just got it off from Ebay and it didn't come with a password. I know the login name but I am in need to a tool to help me out with the password.
First thing to come to mind is since you just "obtained" it, it would be easier to reset the configuration on the box... But anyways. password reset / recovery. http://www.tancom.com/resources/extreme_switch_password.asp http://www.google.com.au/search?q=%22Extreme+Networks%22+++%22Black+Diamond%22++password+reset&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&meta= If you do really need to brute force it, I somehow doubt you got it off ebay.
