Seems to me the prudent thing for the ultra paranoid to do is to contact
staff at alternet prior to going defcon 1 <smile>.

mail.securityfocus.com is down, too.

Earlier this month, a SecurityFocus employee admitted they sometimes
disconnect from the Internet as a protective measure when new exploits come
to light.  Their absence may indicate the release of a dangerous new
exploit.  I therefore urge everyone to disconnect from the Internet as a
precaution and wait for the media to give you an all-clear signal.  Better
safe than sorry...
