Take a look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/iptables-p2p/ I think that is this that you want! Bye Steve Paine wrote:
That's a hard one to achieve. But its possible to knock most of the traffic on the head as the start-up protocols are often the same. However, I'm a believer that ISP's shouldn't block P2P traffic because it will spur the development of new protocols which are harder to track and then you're back at square one. (Personally I think P2P is great and I'm happy to see new protocols being developed.) Someone posted a set of Checkpoint Firewall rules for blocking common P2p protocols recently. I'll see if I can find it and re-post it. Send me a personal reminder if you don't see it on this forum in the next few days. Or in general any information regarding how to identify p2p application is running and may be configure firewall to block such traffic. In general it is observed that such applications do not work on = single port and do port hopping. How to block them? Any inputs on the same would be appreciated.
