There's also native win32 ports of a bunch of them at http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/ The Cygwin ports work fine if you really want _everything_, but IMHO it tends to be somewhat clunky and unwieldy for lighty tasks.
You can then produce a report on which protocols are in use, analyze them as Mikhail as indicated and be much more aware of what your network is doing
