Franco, : Its possible to do something LIKE QoS or CBQ using IPTABLES ?? I want to : control the amount of Kbps per port in INBOUND and OUTBOUND directions There is some documentation on QoS with linux via the "tc" binary at the LARTC site [1]. Join the mailing list [2], check the mailing list archive [3], and read up at Stef Coene's website [4]. In short, iptables allows you to mangle/mark packets, perform some basic rate limiting, filter, and perform NATs. In order to do real QoS, you'll need to use tc with your chosen queueing discipline(s). Good luck, -Martin [1] http://lartc.org/ [2] http://lartc.org/#mailinglist [3] http://mailman.ds9a.nl/pipermail/lartc/ [4] http://docum.org/ -- Martin A.
