We conducted a similiar survey a year ago nearly to this one. And we were surprised at how few folks and companies do in fact encrypt their wan traffic, even though most were well aware of the possible dnagers of not encryting such traffic... Thanks, Ron DuFresne On Thu, 21 Sep 2000, Maddy wrote:
I would like to do a survey here on how many companies enforce encryption on WAN links in their security policy ? I will be trying to convince my management on this aspect but I think it will be overwritten on the reasoning of performance impact. Any comments on this would be deeply appreciated.
