There are all kinds of companies in the outsourcing industry and anyone   
who buys from the lowest bidder without due dilligence deserves what he
gets. If you want to hire a security expert then you should be prepared to
pay the price. We don't come cheap... ;-)

That said, if your ISP is sniffing on your telnet and ftp sessions and
trying to break in then you have other problems. The vast majority of web
pages are still updated using plain old ftp, and it seems to work just
fine. How much paranoia do you need? That depends...
