F5 with Checkpoint

I am toying with using F5 and Checkpoint for a gateway solution and have two
concerns:
*       Checkpoint has not certified F5 as a partner (and from what they
have heard does not intend to)
*       F5 sales has not been able to provide the client with references of
other customers who are using Checkpoint and F5 together.

Does anyone know of any reasons or problems (technical or otherwise) that
might be underneath the "non-certification"?
Has anyone successfully implement F5 load balancing in combination with
Checkpoint?
