Thanks for your responses.
I have blocked AIM, MSN and Yahoo. I blocked the MSN port and the AIM login
IP's. For Yahoo I had to block NNTP but no one uses that here anyway. ICQ
is a different problem. Does anyone know what ports ICQ uses for sure
and/or how it logs into a server?
Are there anymore messenger like applications or services?

icq uses tcp/2000-4000 and udp/4000
it presumably doesn't use all of them
but it can use any of them and, with a
stateless filter, that means you have
to allow all of them.

look at ip_masq_icq for details on
how icq connections happen.
