Firewalls for Cable and SOHO

I have a friend who has just gotton on to cable. He runs a small buisness
from home and wants to prevent people from wandering in. Is there a retail
box aimed at small buisness' as he does niot have the time to learn linux.

If there isn't one, then if he wanted to secure a linux box (Red Hat,
Slackware etc...) which web sites best describe the methods to do so?
