I assume by DMZ you will have a third or fourth interface on FW1? I prefer this since this will prevent inbound connections to internal hosts. This is what I do for Lotus Notes, Exchange etc. Also, I'll setup the hosts on the third and fourth interfaces with real (untranslated) address. Then all the hosts on the internal interface have translated addresses. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Frank Keeney, Network Services, Home Savings of America +1 626-814-5080 mailto:fkeeney () hsa com +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ---------- From: Rex Murphy [SMTP:rmurphy () Networkguys com] Sent: Wednesday, May 12, 1999 6:13 PM To: firewall-wizards () nfr net Subject: Exchange Questions If I was setting up a DMZ, using Firewall-1, what advantage would there be if I put my Exchange server & Email connector outon the DMZ?
