Thanks for everyones help in coming up with the pros and cons of resolving
my problem.  I will most likely setup a external (outside the
firewall) systems with ssh only connection and that system will be only
allowed to do dns, ping and traceroute to the Internet and all connection
to internal corporate network will be denied and logged.
