I'm going to set up a firewall and a networkwork administrator asked me whether it is possible to install rules for microsoft sms and ibm asdm on the firewall. Is there anyone who can give me brief informtion on: - the protocol (tcp/udp, portnumbers, ...) - the security risks
Using ADSM on an unprotected network is dangerous. From what I understand anyone can fire up the client and restore files to an unprotected server as it authenticates using just the IP address and maybe a weak password. I don't allow ADSM across my firewall. Matt
