Are there any public/open products similar to ssh, but without the commercial restrictions of SSH's license?
well, there's STel, but it's Unix only. Likewise there is SSLtelnet (as added on to the SSLeay stuff from AU), and it is somewhat cross-platform, but last time I checked, the PC client was very very poor, crashing frequently, and not containing a working vt100 emulator. The Unix clients and server seem to work pretty well though. Still prefer stel though. Easier to build, smaller.. And, there's kerberos, but that's a different kettle of fish. -- ____________________________________________________________________________ Doug Hughes Engineering Network Services System/Net Admin Auburn University doug () eng auburn edu
