The firewalls mailing list might be considered "more junior" but I think
the main difference is it is not moderated. It is firewalls () lists gnac net.
Get on by sending "subscribe" in the body to majordomo () lists gnac net.

There is also an unmoderated newsgroup: comp.security.firewalls.
