5. The H.323 video conferencing standard NetMeeting is build around uses a standard IP port to make a connection to a network. The H.323 control channel can spawn several auxiliary channels that use random IP ports, making it difficult for firewall security systems to detect and monitor H.323 traffic.
Basically, number 5 sums it up. If you can't monitor this traffic easily, then it is a considerable security risk. Not to mention you will probably have to accept connections on a range of ports, which would leave gaps for a possible attacker. But it's up to you to decide how much of a security risk this is for your data and your network. Jennifer Galvin
