Sorry, missed the deadline on this and the form is down.  Thought it was

*Subject: *Invite to participate in the inaugural Information Security
Horizon Report

Greeting colleagues,

I’m writing to invite you to be a member of the 2021 Information
Security Horizon Report expert panel. I am sure you are familiar with
past issues of the Horizon Report (cf. 2019 and 2020
<https://library.educause.edu/resources/2020/3/2020-educause-horizon-report-teaching-and-learning-edition>).
For 2021, we are excited to add an Information Security edition to the
Horizon Report family. As you weigh your decision about joining the
expert panel, here are some considerations:

  * Methodology.  At EDUCAUSE, we have been studying and working with
the foresight tools from the Institute for the Future (IFTF). A
concise summary is available in a recent article
    <https://er.educause.edu/articles/2019/3/five-principles-for-thinking-like-a-futurist>
in the EDUCAUSE Review. In a nutshell, the IFTF’s method consists
of identifying trends and signals of change and using them to
construct possible scenarios about the future.
  * Timeline for the panel’s work. The panel will be actively engaged
in the Report’s construction from the very end of July through
October. We estimate the total time commitment for this project to
    be 4-8 hours.
  * Communications. We will be utilizing a listserv as well as a
Canvas environment designed for panel engagement and discussion.
  * We will be conducting a virtual orientation for the members of the
panel on *July 30, 3-4 pm eastern time*. Given the international
composition of the panel, we realize that no single time will be
convenient for all panelists. We will be recording this session
and make the recording available to those unable to attend on 30 July.

Those are the main points.  I hope you will join us in creating this
inaugural edition of the 2021 Horizon Report, Information Security
Edition.
To officially sign up as a panelist, please complete this
informational form
<https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5680485/Horizon-Report-Information-Security-Panel-Interest-Form>.
I’d ask that you complete the form no later than *26 July*.

Thank you for considering this!

Certainly, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Brian
