Hello. Depending on what data your trying to protect you might have different security needs. Example, O365 does give
folks the ability to wipe their exchange/O365 email account from the iOS device via OWA. I believe Android phones can
have email wiped, too.

If the device has mail on it or even proprietary apps I would highly recommend forced PIN access. And go got the
alpha-numeric, with a minimum of 12 characters. Pass-phrases are great.

Good luck,
Vince

Apologize for the cross posting.

We are in the throes of starting an MDM rollout and I was asked to see what if any rules you may be enforcing on end
user equipment. We are using intune and are planning on sandboxing the university apps so we don’t interfere with
someone’s personal data. That would force them into using the Outlook app for email and we have several faculty and
staff that we believe would start kicking and screaming that they want to use their native email client, calendar and
contact list. Our other thought is to enroll the whole device and worry about any kickback when we have to erase a
whole phone if they lose it or leave.

Thoughts on this?

Thanks much!
