Data breach notifications? How do you handle them with your vendors and with your faculty/admin staff?

Hello all. When a vendor has a data breach, how have you handled the responsibility to notify you? (I assume either 
your policies, or the vendor's policies, are written into your contract). Also, how do you educate/advise your faculty 
and administrative staff to notify IT security when a notice of breach is received by said faculty/staff?
