I teach an intro-level course on computer security and am a big fan of showing this DEFCON talk; it highlights a
not-too-often-discussed issue that specifically plagues academia WRT research data.

The Scholarly Networks Security Initiative, a coalition of scholarly publishers and librarians, are looking to host a
virtual security summit focusing on the security threat to research IP posed by pirate sites like Sci-Hub, as well as
foreign interference. We can share details with this group once the plans are firm.

Good morning everyone!

Cyber security month is right around the corner. Initially we were going to do an in-person event, but more likely
this will not occur.
Can anyone share what virtual activities you have done in the past or are looking to do for this coming October?
Gaming events or ?

Thank you!
Rhonda
