Re: RTM Higher Ed Congress??

They're legitimate. I went to one of their conferences when I was working in K-12 and my superintendent attended as
well (they basically ran a tech and edu conference side-by-side). I was a little skeptical because I hadn't heard of
them either.

My recollection is that the sessions at the conference were good (real talks from other IT directors, not marketing
pitches). There was no charge for the conference or the hotel, but you had to agree to meet with X number of vendors
during the conference. The vendor meetings were 20 or 30 minute meet-and-greet with a brief product pitch, but nothing
high pressure.

We thought it was a little unusual with them covering the hotel so we ran it by our attorneys just to be sure and they
were okay with it.

I'd go again.

Subject: [SECURITY] RTM Higher Ed Congress??

I'm probably showing my naiveté here, but has anyone ever dealt with the RTM Business Group Higher Ed Congresses?

Are these worthwhile? Are they sketchy? Are they marketing/networking schemes?

I can't find a lot about them except on the RTM site(s), so I'm curious if anyone has more information.

Help a relative newbie filter out the noise! :)
