I have served as a committee member and a chair for this committee and I highly recommend that experience for anyone
who is interested in further developing leadership skills and growing and expanding their network. You become a voice
for the constituents and help to formulate a conference that is well-received by community. I encourage anyone who is
interested in becoming part of this group to volunteer; you will not regret your decision. The EDUCAUSE folks do an
awesome of job of guiding and informing.

Subject: [SECURITY] Seeking Volunteers for the Security 2019 Program Committee

Greetings,

We will soon be selecting program committee members for the 2019 Security Professionals Conference. If you would like
to be a part of the continuing tradition of this unique event, we encourage you to volunteer!

Program committee members include information security and privacy professionals (of all ranks and titles) from a
diverse range of institutions. The 2019 program committee will hold its first meeting at the 2018 Security
Professionals Conference in Baltimore, MD, during breakfast on Thursday, April 12. Thereafter, the program committee
will continue to meet monthly via conference call. The 2019 conference will be held May 13-15, 2019 in Chicago, IL.

To volunteer, please complete this brief Security 2019 volunteer

(Note: This link will take you to a Google form.)

Priority consideration will be given to candidates who volunteer by Wednesday, January 10, 2018. We will notify
selected volunteers in early February.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you and happy holidays!
Valerie
