Hi Everyone,
Thank you all so much for the fast and furious responses to this morning's note. So many of you have responded that we
have reached our limit for team members for right now. If more spots open up, or we create some additional projects
related to the topic, I will post a note here.

We will also post an update email here when this project team has results to announce.

Thank you all for your interest in this work.

Kind regards,
Joanna

Subject: [SECURITY] Seeking Volunteers: Budget-Conscious Roadmap for Information Security Programs Project Team

Hello,

The leaders of the Higher Education Information Security Council
(HEISC)<https://www.educause.edu/focus-areas-and-initiatives/policy-and-security/cybersecurity-initiative/about> and
EDUCAUSE Cybersecurity
Program<https://www.educause.edu/focus-areas-and-initiatives/policy-and-security/cybersecurity-initiative/about> are
looking for volunteers to join our "Budget-Conscious Roadmap for Information Security Programs" project team.

The purpose of this working group is to develop an information security investment roadmap for institutions with
limited resources and/or those that are just starting to think about their information security programs. The final
roadmap document should present a realistic set of investments and processes for low-resourced and newly-created
information security programs.

We anticipate that this project team would kick off mid-September, and meet every-other-week for 6-8 weeks, then
monthly until March 2018. It is our intention that the project team will share its preliminary results at the 2018
Security Professionals Conference in Baltimore, MD (April 10-12, 2018).

We are searching for team members with experience setting up information security programs with limited resources.

If you have more questions or are interested in participating, please send a note to me (jgrama () educause
edu<mailto:jgrama () educause edu>) before the end of the week.

Kind regards,
Joanna
