Subject: Quarterly HEISC Survey on Current Risks & Top Issues (Vote by Jan. 20)

Greetings,

In mid-2016, we introduced a monthly informal poll to the Higher Education Information Security Council (HEISC) working
groups to get a general sense about current risks or top issues on campus. These results contribute to the annual
article<http://er.educause.edu/articles/2016/1/the-2016-top-3-strategic-information-security-issues> about the top
information security issues in higher ed and also help the HEISC Advisory Committee determine areas where additional
resources might be needed. In 2017, we will be polling the HEISC working groups, as well as the Security and Privacy
Discussion Group subscribers, on a quarterly basis.

The Q1 survey is now open and responses will be accepted through next Friday, January 20. (Note: Each participant may
vote for 3 items.)

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Valerie
