This exciting leadership position will provide the successful candidate the
opportunity to participate in the development of technical and operational
strategy, contribute to the campuswide vision for information technology,
lead a group of high performing managers, and play a major role in the
adoption and integration of new technologies to support teaching and
learning, research and scholarship, administrative operations, and student
life.

This position is part of the ITS senior management team reporting to the
campus CIO/Vice Chancellor Information Technology.  The five operating
units in Core Technologies are comprised of sixty full time staff reporting
through their unit heads to the Director - Network Operations and
Engineering, Data Center, Infrastructure Security, Core Technologies
Service Center, and Engineering and Construction Management.

Key initiatives include the potential migration of enterprise systems to
the cloud, the future of the data center and the evolving high performance
computing and high speed networking needs of researchers. Total annual
operating budget is approximately $8.7 million with anticipated
infrastructure projects of about $15 million per year for the next three
years.
