For those of you at the Annual Conference this week, just a quick reminder that there are over 30 security and privacy 
related sessions that may be of interest to you.  The below email details some of those sessions.  You can also find

Two sessions tomorrow that may be of particular interest:

*        On Wednesday morning (10:30 am), hear Eric Goldstein, Senior Counselor to the Assistant Secretary, United 
States Department of Homeland Security, speak about the Importance of a Cybersecurity 
Education<http://www.educause.edu/annual-conference/2015/importance-cybersecurity-education>. This session is a DHS 
keystone event for National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

*        Then, join me at 11:40am as experts share insights, based on actual case studies, of cyber threats facing

EDUCAUSE 2015<http://www.educause.edu/e15> will take place in just a few weeks - October 27-30 in Indianapolis, IN. 
There are over 30 security, privacy, identity, and risk-related sessions. Here are some highlights (details are 
available in our blog post<http://www.educause.edu/blogs/vvogel/security-privacy-and-risk-sessions-educause-2015>).


Kick-start your week in Indianapolis with two risk-related seminars being offered on Tuesday.


On Wednesday morning (10:30 am), hear DHS Deputy Assistant Secretary Gregory Touhill speak about the Importance of a 
Cybersecurity Education<http://www.educause.edu/annual-conference/2015/importance-cybersecurity-education>. Next, join 
moderator Joanna Grama (EDUCAUSE Director of Cybersecurity and IT GRC Programs) as experts share insights, based on 
actual case studies, of cyber threats facing colleges and universities today.


After lunch, please stop by EDUCAUSE Central (between 1:30-2 pm) to meet EDUCAUSE cybersecurity and privacy program 
staff Joanna Grama and Valerie Vogel.


On Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, attend sessions on FERPA, cloud services and privacy, social identities, 
and drones.


Don't miss our discussion session - CISO and CIO: is the "S" the Only 
Difference?<http://www.educause.edu/annual-conference/2015/ciso-and-cio-s-only-difference> - on Thursday afternoon 
(1:30-2:20 pm). Join current and former HEISC co-chairs Cathy Bates, Melissa Woo, and Jack Suess plus CISOs Tammy Clark 
and Neal Fisch to explore the evolving role and professional development needs of the CISO, as well as effective 
CIO/CISO partnerships that enhance institutional information security programs.


Wrap-up the week with sessions on risk, trust and identity, and business continuity.
