Job Posting Health System CISO

Under the direction of the UM CISO, the UMHS Chief Information Security
Officer (CISO) is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and
maintaining the System-wide information security program. The incumbent
will report directly to the UM CISO with dotted line reporting to UMHS IT.
The incumbent will work within the UM security program/framework.

The CISO collaborates with key clinical, research, education and
administrative business leaders across UMHS to facilitate the System-wide
information security program. S/he participates in and/or directs all
information security activity across the System to ensure the
confidentiality, integrity, and availability of UMHS electronic information
and IT resources critical to the tri-partite mission of patient care,
research, and education at UMHS.

The CISO collaborates with the UMHS IT Leadership and Management teams,
providing input and direction on technical strategies, implementation
decisions, and operational projects. S/he will participate and/or
coordinate security program efforts across the various UMHS IT Service
Providers to ensure the comprehensive implementation of the policies and
standards supporting the UMHS information security program.

The CISO plays a key role in organizational compliance activity, including
compliance with state and federal information security regulations
including the HIPAA Security Rule, PCI-DSS, FISMA, FERPA, and other
regulatory and contractual requirements.
