We allow photo submission, pictures are reviewed and government ID is checked when ID is picked up.

http://myubcard.com/card/submit-card-photo

Two ways to submit - authenticated using UB IT account using http://www.sendusyourselfie.com/ or by web form.

Issues:
Distance learning students (not local) do not have a picture, no way at this time to do Identity assurance.

Pictures that will not work for ID, pictures with multiple people, unusual shots,....

Development was in house.

Subject: [SECURITY] Uploading photo for IDs

Hello:

How many of you are allowing students to upload their own photos for IDs? If you are doing this how often is it abused
or what problems have you come across? Also, how did you pull it off technically, in-house, turn-key?

Thank you
