Appalachian State University seeks an experienced leader, effective 
communicator, and skilled project manager to fill the position of Chief 
Information Officer (CIO). Reporting to the Executive Vice Chancellor 
who is also the Provost, the CIO is responsible for working with the 
Appalachian community to develop and implement strategic IT plans and 
for managing key campus IT resources and services. This individual will 
provide vision and senior leadership for the development, coordination, 
and use of technology to enable essential innovation in research, 
learning, and administrative processes.
