The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system is hiring a Chief Information Security Officer. Information on the posting, along with a link with instructions to apply are below. The application deadline is June 20. The MnSCU system comprises 32 state universities and community and technical colleges serving the higher education needs of Minnesota. The system serves about 277,000 students per year in credit-based courses and an additional 157,000 students in noncredit courses.

The Chief Information Security Officer will be responsible for providing Information Security leadership and vision through the continued development and implementation of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities enterprise information security program designed to protect the enterprise mission critical IT system, information and processes against potential threats. Build a comprehensive enterprise security strategy, which includes implementing, directing, and overseeing the governance, assessment, consulting, monitoring, and reporting functions. Lead and manage a team of information security professionals; coordinate enterprise-wide security efforts; develop and implement security policies and standards; prepare an annual security budget; and advise and collaborate with campuses and the Office of the Chancellor on security and compliance related issues.
