We recently moved to, and began deploying, Symantec Endpoint Encryption (formally GuardianEdge) - they just released their new client which is fully Win7 compliant.....(the previous version worked, but the pre-boot environment was problematic....)
Seriously? It took a full year? This is why BitLocker is so attractive... though the deployment, key recovery, and especially end-user lost-password features are far nicer in third party WDE software. The nice thing about being such late adopters is that I can almost, but not quite, get away with saying that Windows 7 is the baseline.
