Re: Skype on the network

Currently we do, but it is only for staff and faculty. This happens after
one, a registry setting is put into place disabling the supernode capability
and two, user training in the software on proper usage. As there is an
inherent danger on allowing any type of communication, the best defense we
use is to educate. We haven't had any security issues as of yet.

Subject: [SECURITY] Skype on the network

I know this has been covered before but I would like to inquire again.

Do you allow Skype on your network? If not, why?

Have you had issues with security?

Thank you,
