Hello all, I am pleased to announce registration open for the nearly annual Windows in Higher Education conference. While this conference is not focused on security specifically, it does contain security related sessions and covers other infrastructure topics that may be of interest to folks on this list. Please visit the conference registration page at http://www.microsoft.com/education/events/hied2009.mspx to register and for more details. Once again the conference will be held on the Microsoft campus to give us access to speakers and other Microsoft resources. The format will be similar to last time, consisting of about half higher education and half Microsoft presenters at a 300-400 level, but take note that there will be some tracking this year due to venue constraints (but on the flip side, there are more interesting topics to pick from). In addition to structured presentations, there will be a facilitated open discussion session, and a bring your own 5-10 minute demo session. The action-packed agenda is at http://windows-hied.org/wiki/index.php5?title=Agenda_2009. Some details: Date: March 30th-April 1st, 2009 Location: Microsoft Campus, Building 37, Redmond, Washington Cost: $150. Breakfast, lunch, and transportation between hotel and conference will be provided. Attendees are responsible for airfare, hotel, dinner, and transportation between the airport and hotel. Attendees: Higher education IT staff from anywhere (~100 limit) Hotels: Residence Inn - http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/SEARD?groupCode=mwhmwha&app=resvlink&fromDate=3/29/09&toDate=4/1/09 OR Marriott Redmond Town Center - http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/seamc?groupCode=mihmiha&app=resvlink&fromDate=3/29/09&toDate=4/2/09 **To complete your registration, you will need to provide a credit card as payment.** The conference team would like to thank presenters in advance and looks forward to seeing you in March. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any of the other conference planners.
