PKI Questions

For those of you who are using PKI in your environment I have a few questions.

How do you use it?  Encryption only for e-mail, digital signing or both.
Do you escrow the encryption keys?
Do you escrow signing keys?
Do you follow a best practices or standard?  If so, can you share it?
