Re: Quick show of hands

Thanks Colleen. With the flood of requests that I have received, publishing it somewhere is the only way that I can
keep up. Caution to everyone, this was obviously a very informal request and the responses were similarly informal,
following no common format. Consequently, this is not a very pretty spreadsheet, but it does list university name,
number of dedicated security staff (to the best of my ability to count them from the responses), and who/what office
the security staff report to.

Thanks.

Hi Jason

I would be happy to post the spreadsheet to the EDUCAUSE Resource
Center, if you would like.
Just send it to me with some background information and I will post the
URL to the list.

Please let me know if you have any questions, thank you.

Thanks to all for the fast response. I have the responses in a
spreadsheet if anyone is interested. I could also just post it here as
an attached html file if listserv policy permits - I don't have a web
server handy to throw it up on right now - new job and all ;)

With 6,000 College employees, we have 1 security officer (myself), and
no staff (staff comes from project teams). I report directly to the CIO.

Jason, I'd love to see your final tally on this, thanks! :)
