I am distributing this for a colleague of mine. I hope that some of you
can provide some useful input! Cliff is willing to consolidate responses
so we can get them back to the list if people would like to see it.
Also, if there are any specific mailing lists for Research and IT in
Higher Ed, please pass that along as well.

Thanks much...

"Brown University's Division of Biology and Medicine is investigating
data storage options for its research labs. We are interested in
learning what data storage services other large research institutions
provide to their labs, including the volume of data that can be handled,
technical platform, backup methodology, degree of centralization,
security, and chargeback mechanisms if any. Please respond to Clifford
Hirschman, clifford_hirschman () brown edu."

Thanks, Connie, I appreciate it and will share the responses.

Cliff
