Job Vacancy Description:  The Office of Information Technology has need
for a full-time Information Technology Security Analyst.  Work schedule
is M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend
hours.

Non-bargaining. Salary $53,913-91,894, with a starting salary within the
first half of the range.  Participation in a retirement plan is a

Job Summary:  The Information Technology Security Analyst will work as
part of a team to protect the College's information assets and IT
resources.  This includes, but is not limited to, developing information
security standards and procedures, performing security assessments and
recommending mitigating actions, administering IT security systems such
as firewalls, anti-virus management, intrusion detection systems,
investigating security incidents, promoting security awareness,
developing and testing a program for IT disaster recovery and business
continuity, and planning and managing projects.

Education & Training:  A high school diploma is required.  Professional
certification in information security such as CISSP, SSCP, or GSEC is
desired.

Qualifications:  Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite,
be highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication
skills, and have the ability to work as a team player and be adaptable
to constant change.

Experience:  Position requires at least three years working experience
in IT and a minimum of two years experience in IT security as well as
experience with database security systems and handling and maintaining
confidential information.  Demonstrated knowledge and experience with
network and application protocols, e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP/S, FTP, RADIUS,
LDAP, DHCP, and a comprehensive understanding of networking and security
technologies, e.g. routers, firewalls, VPN, SSH, SSL, and NAT is also
required.  Experience with Novell eDirectory, Nortel network products
and Checkpoint firewalls is desired.  In-depth working knowledge of
Microsoft, Novell and UNIX based platforms is a plus.  Experience with
legal compliance and experience in higher education is highly desirable.
