World Community Grid Network -- Anyone have a policy on this?

Any institution have a policy on whether (and what type)
of computers can 'add' themselves to the World Community
Grid Network (or the SETI or Distributed RC Crack projects,
etc....)?

Looks like they have around 15,000 members and 18,000 PCs.

The group is certainly on the up and up (they are backed by IBM,
their President is Zoe Baird and they are using grid technology
from United Devices) but the fact that you download an agent &
then allow it to run tasks on 'work' downloaded from a remote
site makes me slightly uneasy (though spyware is far worse).
