I would like you to consider submitting a presentation proposal for the
3rd annual Educause/Internet2 Security Professionals Conference.  I have
seen a wealth of talent and spirited discussion about solutions over the
years through this list, and I'm positive some great conference
presentation proposals will be forthcoming.  Only you can help make this
conference even more successful than the last.

Don't want to submit a presentation proposal?  Then there's information
below as well on how to submit an effective security practice you've
developed for your institution.  Or, why not do both?

SUBMIT A PRESENTATION PROPOSAL BY 11/22
The EDUCAUSE & Internet2 Security Professionals Conference is an annual
gathering of IT security officers and practitioners from across the
higher education landscape. The 2005 event will address technical
solutions and management issues, such as security training and
awareness, as well as security policies and procedures.

Play an active role in this important meeting by participating
as a presenter. As a presenter, you'll help create an innovative and
informative program, make valuable contacts, and gain recognition for
your achievements and your institution's.

The deadline for submitting presentation proposals is November 22--only
a few weeks away. Submit your proposal online now at

ASSOCIATED EVENT
The conference is being held in conjunction with the EDUCAUSE Policy
Conference, April 6-7 in Washington, D.C. The EDUCAUSE Policy
Conference addresses new federal laws, legislative and regulatory
developments, and emerging trends affecting information technology use
in higher education and offers an opportunity to connect with other
campus leaders and key federal policy makers. Find preliminary
