Single Sign On

We are checking into :
StudentLink group is working on using NetID for authentication (the
current SID/PIN method is high-risk in itself).
There has been some
discussion about a more seamless interface between StudentLink and WebMail
- the "single sign-on" discussions.  Anyone already looked at pros and cons?
If you chose this path, what user education was needed?
