http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/04/05/harmonix-investigating-server-hack.aspx The sites for Rock Band and Dance Central are currently down while Harmonix looks into an attack that may have compromised some user information. Fortunately, that information does not include any financial details or social security numbers. An email we received (and apparently sent to all users) reads, in part: The security of your Harmonix user information is very important to us. We’ve taken the sites down while we investigate this incident and determine how our systems and the information we maintain may have been compromised. At this time, we have not found that any of our users’ information has been published or misused. None of our sites maintain any credit card information, social security numbers, or financial account numbers for any of our users. Thankfully, it appears as though the damage from this server attack is minimal. However, as a precaution, passwords have been disabled and will need to be reset when the sites are up and running again. _______________________________________________ Dataloss Mailing List (dataloss () datalossdb org) Archived at http://seclists.org/dataloss/ Unsubscribe at http://datalossdb.org/mailing_list Supporters: Risk Based Security (http://www.riskbasedsecurity.com/) Risk Based Security equips organizations with security intelligence, risk management services and on-demand security solutions to establish customized risk-based programs to address information security and compliance challenges.
