Monticello McDonald's worker stole numbers from credit cards [Minnesota, US]

The sheriff’s office is investigating a juvenile employee of a
Monticello McDonald’s who is accused of stealing credit card numbers
of people who used the drive-thru lane of the store on Seventh Street
East. The juvenile was collecting the credit card information “for a
larger organization” by using an electronic skimming device that
allowed thieves to use the card even though the card was still in
possession of the rightful owner, according to the Wright County
Sheriff’s Office....

McDonald’s Corporation is cooperating, and they have provided evidence
to investigators. Investigators are compiling the list of victims and
are asking for help in identifying more. The majority of the victims
targeted are white women, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s
Office....
