Although Sony has maintained that there is no evidence of the theft of card data, a complaint filed in the Federal Court in San Francisco accuses the company of failing to protect user data. The breach has resulted in the gaming network being closed since 20 April. Sony has admitted that extensive amounts of sensitive personal data was compromised, including names, email addresses, birthdates, login data and purchase history.
