Wyoming says CHIP information exposed on Web

The Wyoming Department of Health says the personal information of about 
9,000 children in the state's children's health insurance program could 
have been exposed on the Internet.

Department officials said Friday that the error resulted in the names, 
birthdays, Social Security numbers, addresses and phone numbers of Kid 
Care CHIP participants being accessible on an unsecured Web page for 
months.

Officials say they learned of the problem Thursday and secured the 
information immediately.
